How to use the external main power socket (AC out) on the left side of the screen?

The Canvas has a AC out on the left side of the screen. It is possible to connect an external device and give power from the screen to this device. The port has a 100-240V output and supports till 2 ampere. (so till 440W) 

If you turn off the screen or put the screen in standby, the external device will be cut off from the power. The same should work if you put the screen on. If the external device supports "Power on when power becomes available" it will turn on the external device when the screen is turned on. 

Please note that the device will receive a "hard" shutdown when you turn off the screen and it is connected via this AC out port. So we advise to turn off the external device before you turn off the screen.
