    How can I prevent Easiteach from crashing?

    Symptoms:

    Easiteach Next Generation v1.5.2 crashes with an error message when you select the drawing tool.

     

    Cause: 

    This issue only affects computers running the Windows 10 Creators Update.

    The native multi-touch support RM introduced in RM Easiteach Next Generation v1.5.2 is not compatible with latest .NET Framework 4.7 which is included in the Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703).

    Earlier versions of Windows 10 prior to the Creators Update use earlier versions of the .NET Framework, which is why this issue does not occur.


    Solution:

    1. Launch RM Easiteach Next Generation.
    2. Open a new document. This takes you into the main program.
    3. Click the 'e' button to open the Easiteach menu and select My Easiteach.
    4. Select Defaults.
    5. Clear the 'Enable native touch approach' box.
    6. Click OK.

    Close the program and restart it.
